Description
This is an American Eskimo dog whose coat is kept short due to our Arizona heat. The coat or fur is usually very long and thick. These are loyal watchdog, protective, yet they do not become aggressive enough to bite. They learn easily and make cherished pets. They grow up to 20 inches long and up to 40 pounds in weight. Their average lifespan is 12-15 years. These dogs originated in Germany and are members of the Spitz breed. Today’s breeds are also connected to the Japanese Spitz and to the Samoyed breed.
