Description
Blue Ginger is found all over Hawaii. It is cultivated, but it can appear to be growing wild. This ornamental garden plant is native to Brazil. The color is sapphire blue to blue-purple. It can grow to 6 feet tall or more.
Blue ginger gets its name from its resemblance to ginger plants. It isn’t a true ginger. Blue gingers belong to the same family as wandering Jews and spiderworts.

Gorgeous colours! I think that you would be justified in re-naming it "Blue Ginger Star".
