Description
This cactus flower falls under the umbrella of night bloomers known as Queen of the Night. A cereus cactus will produce a flower if the early blooming stage turns pinkish. After one night of blooming, sunlight withers the bloom, and the limp flower will take about a week to fall off.
I was fortunate to be out on my walk just bout pre-dawn when I spotted a many-stalked cactus loaded with these flowers. This is considered a pinkish flower but shows only a little pink, so it is here in the White Flower Collection.
