Description

This landscape called Deep in the Valley is located in the back bay of Lawai Bay on Kauai in Hawaii. The whole property is in the Allerton Gardens, which is accessible only by touring. This image is a lush forest scene, quite different than the usual forests because of the palm trees and other tropical foliage, though in places it is still like a jungle. The entire area is beautifully manicured, that is, as much as a forest might be, and it's all such a spectacle to see. A former queen's summer cottage is part of the property as well as one hundred year old Hawaiian trails and steps. It's really a throw-back into history.
