Description
A Ford V8 showing the rumble seat opened. Back when these cars were in use, I believe people had to climb up onto the fender in order to get into the rumble seat. Wonder how the paint job held up.
A total of five images of this magnificent classic car, a Ford V8 with rumble seat, are presently include in my Vehicles of All Ages gallery. It bright shade of orange is what caught my eye.
Regardless what we call them, classic cars, vintage cars, restored cars, old, even antiquated, they make beautiful collectibles for the car aficionado.

Oh my, what a spectacular composition this is. What a great eye you have. This is one of the best captures I have ever seen of a vintage car.

What a fun photo! Amazing sheen and charming flow of curves! Love the red tints with the complementary green in the background! L/F

You did a marvelous job of capturing the color and form of this classic auto. That is difficult to do at most car shows, as there are too many cars in the way of a clear image, not to mention people! Then, they tend to have their hoods and/or trunks open, which can also present a challenge! Good job! If you ever get back to the mainland (but who would ever want to leave Kauai?), check out the auto museum Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danforth! It's worth a day of photography! I haven't looked at all your images yet, so maybe you've already been there!
Mary Deal replied:
Georgianne, thank you for your comments. I must agree about the other cars and people at car shows. I have numerous images that are marvelous of various cars but I took them before I was aware of the problem. Now I wait however long it takes till people get clear of where I want to shoot. I try to avoid other cars, but once in a great while, another car in the background enhances the one I'm trying to shoot, but not always. It's fun, no matter what. I don't get to the Mainland often, but when I do, I look for car shows, among other things we don't find here in the Islands.

Gorgeous, gleaming sheen on this, Mary. Makes me want to hop in the rumble seat for a ride.
