Description
These monstrous trees and roots are called the Jurassic trees. They are Moreton Bay Fig trees and were made famous by the filming of the rainy night scene in the film Jurassic Park. This row of trees grows near one of the streams on the Allerton Gardens property on Kauai in Hawaii, surrounded by the lush green forest and red brown soil.
I also have images of Rudraksha tree roots in my Trees gallery, which are large with far reaching roots like those pictured here. The Rudrakshas grow near my home here on Kauai. Nature is just magnificent!

Hi Mary - I like the way you have captured the sinuous quality 0f these massive tree roots - Appreciate your very kind thoughts on my piece 'Squash and Lemon', which is an Impressionistic piece that picks up random colours - Chris
