Description
This is Kealia Beach and Park, located just north of Kapaa on the east side of Kauai in Hawaii. It's a dangerous beach with no shore break. The Moikeha Canal is filled from the distant Makalehas and empties into this bay. In spite of the danger, it's one of our most popular recreation beaches and known throughout the Hawaiian Islands as a great surfing spot. In the distant background is Kong Mountain. I should have a close up of this famous rock structure soon.

Mary, Remarkable beach photo so clear and with great details in the foreground and the background. Love how you have captured the great colors of that dark blue water with the white water crashing over the rocks. Excellent semi-circle scene of the beach with the mountains in the background and that great sky scene. Wish I was laying there right now.
