Description
These are tiny clusters on beach rocks close enough to the ocean to have access to water but not soaked. I am not sure if this is a plant or animal, but it grows and spreads out over the beach rocks. Also, a black and white and a sepia version of this photo can be found in my Black White and Sepia gallery.

Thank you, Patricia. When I see these on the rocks, I try never to step on them. They bounce back, but they are living things.

Thank you, Mary. When I saw this at some beach rocks, it jumped out at me screaming, "Shoot me! Shoot me!"
