Old Town Elk Grove, California is near Walnut Grove where I grew up. Elk Grove has gone through many changes and upgrades from a small sleepy town to a busy Sacramento bedroom town. In other words, people live in Elk Grove but many work in Sacramento to the north. The towns' borders now bump into one another. This is a sign on a street lamp and many of the restored historical buildings contain signs telling some of their history. This is also an old railroad town. The tracks remain. Old Town Elk Grove is a small area in the now sprawling modern city.
