Description

This is a 16x20 inch oil painting of Plumeria flowers. The leaves were created with a technique known as sgraffito, which is the scraping off of paint in certain areas instead of adding lighter colors.

I bought the Rainbow Plumeria by Mary Deal. It's even more beautiful in person. It looks perfect in my home office, and reminds me of the islands. The leaves are as vivid as the flower petals. I ordered the 'glossy' and I'm glad I did. It is not too glossy, just a nice, subtle shine. I'm very please with this piece of art, and grateful to the artist, Mary Deal.
