Description
Red Rock Canyon in Nevada is actually a National Conversation Area founded in 1988. It encompasses hiking trails, Joshua trees, even a wishing tree, and visitor center including artistic architecture. Much of the natural history of the expansive area can be learned, especially when taking one of the many tours. The area is rich in Native American history as well as early settler histories.
This canyon is wonderful for photography. It even has some ancient Native American rock art. A guide can take you there. Eventually, I’ll be posting other images of the canyon. I am quite taken with the natural red rocks.
The artist, Mary Deal, is an Amazon best-selling, award-winning, multi-genre author of mystery/thrillers, romance, a short story collection, a writers' reference, and self-help. Read about her here: http://tinyurl.com/3z8pm3f
