Description
It rains every day and night on Kauai, which is known as the Land of Rainbows. This was one of them.
We have lots of rain so lots of rainbows, but because of the rain, Kauai is also known as The Garden Island. Lots of rain and everything - that's everything - grows. The road crews have permanent jobs keeping the bushes and trees from encroaching on the diving surfaces or overhanging the roads. Sometimes trees fall onto cars if not kept cut back. And then, private yards and properties with lawns must be kept moved. People who own empty lots are required by law to keep the weeds and overgrowth abated and tree branches cut.
It's a lot of work, but we don't mind, not when we can see sights such as these beautiful rainbows.
