Description
Part of the front wall of Frank Lloyd Wright's home, known as Taliesen, in the Arizona desert. Taliesin West was architect Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home and school in the desert from 1937 until his death in 1959 at the age of 91. Today it is the headquarters of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Open to the public for tours, Taliesin West is located on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale, Arizona. (Wikipedia)
My son and I once toured the grounds here. An incredible amount of artworks can be found all over the site. One peculiar thing I learned was that Frank Lloyd Write did not care if a statue was broken. If he loved it, he bought it. Several of the art statues have pieces or sections missing. Most are whole and quite lovely. His collection is eclectic, to say the least. In addition to that, the entire grounds are a wonder to see.
