Description
This large sea shell is another that I rescued from a friends collectibles that she was about to discard. It is almost tan in color with brown and orange markings and striations.
Named after the Greek god Triton, the son of Poseidon, god of the sea. It lives in the Indo-Pacific faunal zone and can grow over twenty inches long. It feeds on other mollusks and starfish, including the large Crown-of-Thorns starfish which can grown up to one millimeter and is covered with venomous spikes.

Absolutely beautiful! We have one similar, which my husband brought back from Gan, but they are all unique.
