Description
This white Christmas bulb, with its yellow Hibiscus and green leaves offers a message too.
Christmas bulbs come in any shape and size you could hope for, also in any colors what-so-ever. Not many people celebrated Christmas in Hawaii before the American influence. Other Countries came to Hawaii before America but their traditions were much different. Once the Hawaiian people began celebrating, they began decorating bulbs with Island style art. You will find some of those bulbs featured here in my Greeting Cards gallery.
The origins of Christmas bulbs dated way back into a time when candles were used to decorate Christmas trees. From there, strings of electric lights were used in homes. They are still used today, especially in commercial properties.
Christmas bulbs of globes came into being when people could not afford the strings of lights or the electric bill they produced. Also, electrical writing was known to cause home fires. Then blubs became popular. They could sparkle and flash like any electrical light.
The artist, Mary Deal, is also an award-winning author of mystery/thrillers, a short story collection and writers' reference books. Read about it here:
