This is Eternity Beach, so named because it was where that famous kissing scene on the beach in From Here to Eternity took place. It's located as you travel southeast out of Honolulu, past Diamond Head and Koko Head Crater. If you'll look closely, the beach farthest away where the water washes up in that clear spot - that's what Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr made that scene. The camera crew were on the rocks at the top of this picture and back in the little alcove. In the film you saw much of that scene with them laying on the beach with their feet toward the water - because it was being filmed from the opposite side from where I stood taking this picture.
