Description
This beach hideaway is actually a very large home. However, it is somewhat hidden by palm trees, coconut trees, and other green and yellow foliage.
Many lavish beach houses like this can be seen along any of Hawaii's beaches and Kauai is no exception. While some of us can only dream of such places, still, they make wonderful images to photograph. This house was built many decades ago and is immaculately maintained.
This is located in a hidden area in Lawai on Kauai. It was quite a trek before happening upon this place, and well worth the effort.

I had the opportunity to spend a day at the Allerton house around 1989?, (before the hurricane that caused extensive damage to the house and white column statues outside of it). It was a fabulous day spent both inside and outside of this house and grounds with friends. Truly a once in a lifetime experience, never to be forgotten.

Wish i was there! :)
Mary Deal replied:
Me, too, Daniele. But all we can do is walk by the place and wish. It's right on a beach that's nearly private because it is remote.
