Description
Another of my oil paintings. Plumeria is also known as Frangipani., from the Dogbane family of plants. It is also related to the Oleander. The plumeria flower is native to Central and South America, and Mexico. These flowers grown well in tropical climates almost anywhere in the world.
If you happen to purchase incense by the name of Frangipani, you’ll be buying the Plumeria fragrance.
Each of the varieties of Plumeria bear different shaped leaves as well as petals and growth habits. Colors include white, pink or reddish, yellow or gold, and many variations of each. Many blooms are known to show two colors as well.
