Description
This photo was taken before dawn, or just before dawn broke. When the volcano is erupting way down on the big island, we up on the northern most island get Vog, a mixture of fog and volcanic ash. The ash is what picks up and intensifies the light and color. It was barely daylight outside. I loved the monochromatic hills in the distance.
