Description

This schefflera has somehow attached itself to the trunk of a palm tree and began growing. Sometimes birds drop seeds where ever they perch. A little rain is all it takes in the tropics for a seed to germinate.

This is really amazing, Mary. I wondered if schefflera was a parasitic plant, but I see that it is not, so that it is really amazing that it would be able to sustain itself so high up on a palm tree. It appears as if there are no roots extending down to the ground. Really a weird natural oddity.
