Title
The Lanai
Artist
Mary Deal
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
The Lanai, meaning porch, is an oil painting from a photo I took in the mid-1980s on Kauai. In 1992 Hurricane Iniki dropped a palm tree through the roof and the house has since been torn down. I managed to get photos of many angles of the old house, even with the palm tree. I will probably paint more of this 115 year old plantation house.

I have more photos of this ancient plantation house before it was damaged and torn down. One day will paint another, maybe a set of these.

Lne, thank you so much for your comments and v. This house and its neighboring cottages has been torn down, sadly. I love the older homes on this island.
